Public Relations Analyst
LOCATION: New York, NY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Play an integral role in the execution of initiatives focused on raising firm and lawyer awareness in the media
- Responsible for drafting and editing content for press releases and internal/external communications
- Collaborate with the department to assist with the development and implementation of firm-wide media relations strategies and plans
- Use various media and tools to coordinate firm brand marketing
- Monitor and compile firm news clips
- Oversee and track internal and external news announcements and media pitches that increase firm visibility necessitating an understanding for key industries, legal themes, issues and solutions
- Collaborate with practice leaders and business development department to advance marketing efforts
- Draft, edit and finalize directory and award submissions
- Manage logistics for press releases and interviews
- Help Prep partners for interviews by providing important topics and relevant information related to the outlet
- Maintain media lists and general outreach in relation to the firm’s public relations and marketing initiatives
- Assist with the creation and distribution of a variety of marketing-related materials and content for the firm website and intranet
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 2+ years of experience in public/media relations or corporate communications in a law firm or professional services environment
- Bachelor’s degree required; English, Journalism or Public Relations focus desired
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and ability to learn new software as needed
- Experience with media monitoring tools, media databases and content management systems are a plus
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Excellent writing and editorial skills
- Close attention to detail and ability to maintain sight of long-term strategic goals
- Ability to think creatively and pragmatically
- Ability to organize and prioritize work while working independently or as part of a team
