Director of Office Administration
LOCATION: New York, NY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop strategy for the operational needs of the office; support processes and process improvement to meet attorney and client expectations
- Supervise all administrative areas to ensure productivity and efficiency
- Provide staff with ongoing training and guidance
- Coordinate functions that enhance employee relations
- Review secretarial assignments and coordinate assignment changes with administrative staff
- Build productive relationships with attorneys and partners
- Coordinate requests for overflow and overtime assistance
- Audit and monitor assigned secretarial group’s time reporting
- Monitor unscheduled absences
- Proactively determine coverage needs during critical periods
- Communicate regularly with firmwide leadership to ensure firmwide initiative awareness
- Provide leadership coaching; including performance evaluations and goal setting
- Review and manage building and space needs; make recommendations and oversee facility
- Ensure approval for any hiring needs and interview applicants
- Oversee the coordination of the Conference Center and Food Services
- Prepare and monitor the administrative budget
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required
- 7+ years of Administrative leadership experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Leadership and management experience in a global organization
- Highly adaptable, proactive and works well under pressure
