LOCATIONS: New York, NY | Chicago, IL (hybrid)

COMPENSATION: Base salary commensurate with experience up to $185K

SUMMARY: Working directly with the firm’s senior Risk Management leadership and Executive Committee, the Client Risk and Privacy Manager will help try all key firm risk management procedures. In addition, they will directly supervise junior risk/conflicts staff, monitoring their performance and developing their skills.


  • Perform research and conflict of interest checks using databases 

  • Handle intake requests and conflicts ethically

  • Coordinate complex assignments with conflicts team

  • Monitor the Risk Management team outlook inbox and handle and follow up on requests

  • Maintain the conflicts databases regularly 

  • Conduct research through multiple sources, including the SEC, the internet, Westlaw and Mergent

  • Identify potential conflicts and recommend action to the Risk Management team 

  • Communicate with Ethics Chair and Senior Conflicts Leadership regarding issues, as needed

  • Work with admins and other parties to ensure accurate and complete information for conflicts

  • Draft and submit memos related to conflicts issues and recommended resolutions


  • 3+ years of experience managing a team within corporate conflicts or risk management, ideally within a law firm

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Knowledge of client accounting and intake systems; Intapp experience is helpful

  • Ability to both guide/mentor junior conflicts staff and report to partners

  • Strong data entry and research skills 

  • Excellent MS Word, Excel and Office Suite skills
