Legal Executive Assistant Supervisor

SUMMARY: Seeking a Legal Executive Assistant Supervisor to collaborate and interact with the Manager of Legal Administrative services and ensure that support functions are in place for each practice group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and maintain daily staffing requirements of legal executive assistants
- Assess workflow with floor coordinators
- Manage workflow between floor coordinators and practice group centers
- Inform manager of and document any potential issues
- Develop team efforts across all practice groups
- Prepare and recommend training, mentoring and individualized assessment training for new and existing legal executive assistants
- Develop and propose new strategies to improve upon cluster and practice group center procedures
- Manage the integration process of new legal executive assistants with the procedures and fundamentals of their practice group
- Educate attorneys on services provided by legal executive assistants
- Communicate with attorneys and legal executive assistants to ensure administrative support standards are met
- Assist manager in annual performance review process
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a role providing legal administrative support, and/or coordinating/supervising such support, in a law firm
- Experience as a supervisor is preferred
- Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs such as, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
- Excellent work ethic and strong teamwork skills in a high volume, high pressure environment
- Must be flexible, organized, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a calm, pleasant demeanor
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, staff and clients
- Able to keep matters confidential
