Director of Training and Development

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, teach and monitor learning-focused firmwide and practice group initiatives for attorneys
- Measure and assess training, curriculum and development programs
- Partner with and form strong trusted advisor relationships
- Work with training and development team, legal personnel and practice management to provide advice and guidance to uplevel program delivery
- Develop and execute programs within the attorney life cycle
- Create and manage attorney orientation, integration and onboarding experience
- Manage all firm CLE compliance, tracking and reporting firmwide
- Maintain and nurture existing and potential relationships with external consultants, coaches and speakers
- Oversee and enhance the firm’s mentor and advisor programs
- Ownership of all onboarding with legal personnel, practice management and recruiting
- Assess e-Learning opportunities and build e-Learning programs
- Recruit, lead and engage training and development team in programs, events and initiatives
- Manage and develop professional skills of training and development team
- Manage and oversee training and development budgeting process and expenditures
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- JD required
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a law firm environment; prior experience as a Corporate Associate would be relevant for this position
- Experience and knowledge of attorney professional development
- Strong interest in training and professional development
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Highly adaptable, proactive and works well under pressure
