Legal Billing Training Specialist

LOCATION: NEW YORK, NY 

THE ORGANIZATION: Multinational Law Firm

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 9:30AM – 5:30PM (Hybrid Schedule)

SUMMARY: The Legal Billing Training Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs (virtual and in-office) including: business applications, professional skills and client-specific processes and procedures. This role will also test new programs and develop processes to deliver and integrate new programs and processes into the department. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for designing and implementing learning and development programs that support the needs of the department.
  • Responsible for testing new programs, developing new processes and creating, revising, delivering and tracking all training necessary to manage change and integrate new programs and processes into the daily work routine.
  • Schedules, tracks and provides training to end users of all professional levels and knowledge, and across functional areas in the department. 
  • Provides introductory training for new hires and training for other departments, where applicable. 
  • Creates, updates and maintains training materials, including PowerPoint presentations, training manuals, handouts, practice exercises and system documentation.
  • Makes recommendations to revise training to meet the evolving  needs of the department and clients. 
  • Provides training to global employees in the department on key systems including Aderant and Star Collect and departmental processes and procedures.
  • Collaborates with departmental leaders to develop professional skills training programs. 

Qualifications

  • Experience in legal billing
  • Ability to learn new systems and provide training to employees (including Aderant Expert and Star Collect)
  • Skilled at planning, researching, writing, and producing technical training materials for business applications, including presentations and exercises
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and entire MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years related work experience in corporate training environment strongly preferred
