Facilities Manager

LOCATION: New York, NY

COMPENSATION: Base salary up to $125K, plus generous bonus; Paid Time Off; 401K; Medical, Dental and Vision benefits, generous vacation and sick/personal days, paid holidays, 401K, and more!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure Firm premises are well maintained and in compliance with safety standards
  • Routinely inspect office space for disrepair 
  • Coordinate necessary repairs, renovations and maintenance work
  • Responsible for the planning, purchase and maintenance of office equipment
  • Identify and resolve facility problems (HVAC, carpentry, electrical, etc.)
  • Manage space utilization, lease administration and other real estate related projects
  • Lead and facilitate vendor negotiations
  • Ensure that assigned office and desk spaces are setup properly
  • Coordinate with IT on computer setups and other support departments
  • Oversee all elements of Office Services team’s performance
  • Assess and evaluate department procedures
  • Recommend appropriate changes to department to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Oversee the maintenance, safety and functionality of the Firm’s premises

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a Facilities Manager or similar position in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong office management experience
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to office facilities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to be present on-site during office emergencies and act as point of contact for project supervision
  • Able to manage confidential information with utmost discretion
