Director of IT Operations

COMPENSATION: Base salary up to $250K, commensurate with experience, plus Bonus, Paid Time Off, 401K, Medical Dental & Vision Coverage, Life and AD&D Insurance, Retirement Plans, and more!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the CIO to determine IT operational networking needs of the firm
  • Design, implement and maintain the organization and structure of the firm’s local and wide area networks
  • Oversee the procurement process for file servers, software, switches and routers
  • Communicate networking requirements to firm personnel
  • Ensure detailed network documentation, service manuals and training materials
  • Lead software implementations and upgrades
  • Provide support to end users
  • Perform cost-benefit and ROI analyses
  • Train IT support staff
  • Assist with the development of IT related policies and procedures 
  • Manage and oversee the workflow of IT staff
  • Hold regular staff meetings to discuss operational issues and solutions
  • Provide guidance and training to staff members
  • Act as senior lead on the ground for issue escalation and resolution
  • Work with Service Delivery Team, with direction from CIO, in coordinated fashion to set the agenda for and lead the local office Advisory Group meetings; tracks and reports on feedback from those meetings to make continuous improvements and help IT better implement business solutions that work optimally

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Management or related field required
  • 5+ years of IT or Network Management experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco routers, switches and firewall products
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, HP Servers, Windows Server QS, VMware ESXi 5.0, Exchange 2010, NetApp Storage Area Networks and Group policy management
  • Working understanding of VPN, QoS and IP routing concepts
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
