POSITION: Conflicts Administrator (Remote-Hybrid Position)

ORGANIZATION: International Law Firm

LOCATION: Boston, Massachusetts | New York, New York | Washington, District of Columbia

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 9:00AM – 5:00PM

SUMMARY: Seeking an experienced Conflicts Administrator. The ideal candidate has 5 years of law firm experience and is comfortable with technology and project management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Handle new business intake requests and conflicts, collaborating closely with Conflicts team to ensure management of workflow

  • Coordinate complex assignments with conflicts team

  • Know all procedures relating to conflicts and new business, and be able to communicate them to attorneys and staff at all levels.

  • Train new staff and attorneys on conducting conflicts checks

  • Review potential lateral hire conflicts

  • Conduct research through multiple sources, including the SEC, the internet, Westlaw and Mergent

  • Identify potential conflicts and recommend action to the appropriate partner attorney

  • Communicate with Ethics Chair and Conflicts Manager regarding issues, as needed

  • Work with admins and other parties to ensure accurate and complete information for conflicts

  • Draft and submit memos related to conflicts issues and recommended resolutions

  • Work on other projects and research, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and spoken, with exceptional customer service skills and orientation

  • Advanced research skills using the internet and various databases

  • Ability to manage projects, balance priorities, multi-task effectively, and meet deadlines

  • Dedication to ethical standards and firm policies

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information

  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Office Suite

  • Experience using InTapp Open, iManage, and other records management software

  • Knowledge of client accounting systems (i.e. Elite or Aderant)
