Benefits Specialist

Location: Downtown, New York, NY

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely and report directly to the Manager of Benefits & Wellness
  • Provide administrative support to executives and management teams across the Firm
  • Develop and manage the firm’s wellness program
  • Develop and recommend strategies to improve health and wellbeing of employees
  • Act as a liaison between benefits/insurance vendors and employees/partners
  • Perform benefits data and benefits plan auditing on a monthly basis for compliance
  • Reconcile monthly benefits vendor invoices for processing
  • Manage the leave administration process
  • Conduct the benefits orientations for all newly hired staff
  • Process benefit enrollment and termination paperwork
  • Manage employee/Partner benefits problem resolution
  • Responsible for benefits compliance 
  • Monitor and maintain the firm’s internal benefits portal 
  • Assist in the administration of annual open enrollment for health & welfare plans
  • Compile and maintain benefits records

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of related Benefits and/or HR experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required with advanced Excel knowledge
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to perform various duties
  • Highly organized with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and navigate tight deadlines while taking ownership over tasks big and small
