Attorney Recruiting Manager

SUMMARY: The Attorney Recruiting Manager will develop tools and processes to successfully recruit lateral candidates and administer the Summer Associate program. This role will collaborate in tandem on hiring and DEI initiatives with the firm’s New York headquarters. The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting at a top AmLaw firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop hiring strategy and plans, in collaboration with senior management
- Coordinate search implementation and approval of hires, including coordination of specific candidate terms
- Full-cycle recruiting of lateral attorney (non-partner) and law students – from sourcing to extension of an offer
- Organize campus recruitment initiatives from outreaching to law schools, student organizations, as well as branding and networking events related to recruitment
- Lead the Silicon Valley office’s Attorney Recruiting team; spearhead hiring, training, goal setting, and performance management within the department
- Analysis of market data, as it relates to the legal field and recruitment
- Maintain relationships with search agencies and other consultants
- Manage implementation and knowledge base of lateral policies and procedures
- Handle and plan Associate events calendar
- Work to strengthen alumni relationships
- Manage compensation analysis for lateral hiring
- Implement lateral onboarding process
- Share resources, contacts and best practices with Recruiting and HR teams
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in legal recruiting or lateral hiring of attorneys
- Bachelor's degree required
- Proficient in viDesktop, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and comfortable working in web-based databases/software
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to build professional relationships and to work with individuals at all seniority levels
- Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed
