Attorney Learning & Development Manager (Hybrid – Remote)

SUMMARY: International law firm is seeking a Legal Learning & Development Manager to act as the architect for associate training in the firm’s US offices, focusing on design, strategy, direction and content, curricula and programmatic creation. This role will collaborate closely with the Firm’s offices outside of the United States.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the Director of Learning and Development, the global L&D function and Talent team to develop tailored training programs, curricula and development initiatives
- Develop hiring strategy and plans, in collaboration with senior management
- Coordinate search implementation and approval of hires, including coordination of specific candidate terms
- Oversee Legal L&D team members in NY and DC offices
- Analysis of market data, as it relates to the legal field and recruitment
- Build on existing programs and content while also refreshing and creating new curricula
- Maintain relationships with search agencies and other consultants
- Manage implementation and knowledge base of lateral policies and procedures
- Design and implement training programs across the US offices
- Handle and plan Associate events calendar
- Share resources, contacts and best practices with Recruiting and HR teams
- Prepare and analyze training satisfaction surveys
- Maintain an expertise in CLE Rules
- Flexibility to adjust hours to meet departmental needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of experience in legal recruiting, training, facilitation, and instructional design experience within a law form or other professional services environment
- AmLaw experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree required; J.D. or M.A. preferred
- Working knowledge and understanding of New York CLE requirements and rules preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to build professional relationships and to work with individuals at all seniority levels
- Strong analytical skills with ability to balance short and long term priorities and goals
- Team-oriented and willing to work on other projects as needed
