Tax Attorney
LOCATION: Nassau County, Long Island

SUMMARY: The Tax Attorney will focus on domestic and international tax planning for high net worth individuals, closely held businesses, investment real estate, sales, exchanges, lease and property refinancing. This individual should have experience with IRC Section 1031 tax-free exchanges, installment sales, long term lease agreements and sale-leasebacks. The Tax Attorney will provide knowledge of business and investment transactions, tax-free reorganization and exchanges, business transfer and restructurings.
REQUIREMENTS:
- An LLM in tax is preferred
- Must have a min of 5 years’ experience in legal tax practice
- Self-starter with strong entrepreneurial skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively and diplomatically
- Ability to remain calm and function under pressure in a constantly changing environment with highly confidential information
- Ability to collaborate with all levels and multiple departments
- Detail oriented with strong day-to-day organizational skills
- Ability to be proactive, prioritize work and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
