Regulatory – Business Development Assistant

LOCATION: Washington, DC

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather data from various sources/databases to compile a variety of intelligence briefings on company/financial/private equity firm profiles and biographical dossiers
  • Engage in comprehensive research of the Firm’s transactions across a wide breadth of industries, geographies and transaction types using a variety of internal and external resources
  • Accurately capture and maintain comprehensive transaction deals in the Firm’s experience database
  • Refine and curate core materials related to specific industries, practice descriptions and representative experience
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and benchmarking research within an industry or among peer firms
  • Maintain and update content in the firm’s database
  • Maintain data in the firm’s CRM system
  • Assist the Regulatory BD team with compiling directory submissions, including Chambers, Legal 500 and GCR
  • Liaise with Events team to assist with internal and external events, seminars, webinars and sponsorships
  • Work with all functions of the greater Business Development & Marketing team, including Operations, Development, Systems, Communications and Competitive Intelligence

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, liberal arts or related field required
  • Practice group experience in Regulations is highly desirable
  • Ideal candidate will have familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Preqin and Reuters
  • Excellent time management, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills with various Microsoft programs, CRM and research tools
