Investment Partnerships Accountant

OVERVIEW: Seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Investment Partnerships Accountant to collaborate closely with the Firm’s Financial Accounting, Budget, & Controls and Investment Partnerships groups. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of partnership accounting tasks such as, review of transactions, financial reporting and preparing of reconciliations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Identify areas of improvement to enhance the process and assist with cash planning
- Prepare adjusting manual journal entries and post approved entries
- Review transactions related to capital calls, distributions and other fund transactions
- Prepare data for monthly and quarterly investor statements
- Review and reconcile general ledger activity to investor statements
- Prepare financial reporting and analysis
- Assist with the Firm and Investment Partnerships’ annual external audit engagements
- Contribute to system and process re-engineering efforts
- Manage balance sheet accounts ensuring integrity by thoroughly reviewing account activity and balances for validity and prepare supporting audit schedules
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 2+ years of professional accounting or audit experience required
- Familiarity with partnership accounting preferred; CPA or CPA track a plus
- General understanding of the private equity industry; experience with funds
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize competing demands under tight deadlines
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
- Familiarity with Elite 3E and Dynamo is a plus!

- Ability to maintain confidentiality
