Technology Engagement Specialist (Litigation)

OVERVIEW: The Technology Engagement Specialist will support the attorneys and paralegals with technical expertise, guidance towards E-Discovery platforms/best practice, and offer a variety of case management solutions to aid in the firm’s client service and delivery of efficient work product.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with Director of Technology Solutions to develop and implement special projects as necessary

Create and implement policies and procedures related to the Firm’s library system

Produce annual budget for E-Discovery subscriptions and publications

Monitor departmental budget and expenses throughout the year

Work directly with vendors for new licenses, subscriptions and renewals

Coordinate the training for attorneys and staff on the use of online resources (specifically related to E-Discovery and other litigation-focused research platforms)

Evaluate new information sources

Supervise and train resource management staff in their daily responsibilities

Generate reports for practice groups

Assist with compilation of data and information for inclusion in reports to management
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred

3+ years of experience in law firm, working on practice technology and E-Discovery solutions

Expert knowledge of E-Discovery platforms and all phases of litigation discovery

Knowledge of technical operations in a law firm settling

Deep Knowledge of litigation practice areas

Microsoft Office proficiency

Advanced knowledge using library management tools such as, Research Monitor, Quest, library OPACs, Lexis Newsdesk and PowerBI

Comfortable learning new systems, software and skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys, staff, and vendors

Excellent communication skills, including presenting before large and small groups

Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and discretion

Ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks adequately

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
