POSITION: Associate Engagement Coordinator

LOCATION: Washington, D.C. | Chicago, IL | New York, NY

OVERVIEW: Seeking a highly motivated, energetic, organized and professional individual with law firm experience to serve as Associate Engagement Coordinator at a top law firm. This individual will support the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion engagement team in launching new initiatives for the D.C. office. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Partner with Firmwide and local attorney engagement and diversity departments to implement Firm’s DEI programs
  • Build relationships across the firm with committees, such as the Women’s Leadership Initiative, affinity groups, and external D.C. professional organizations 
  • Oversee and administer Firm’s Mentorship Program 
  • Provide event support with sumer associate and lateral attorney programming to integrate attorney initiatives 
  • Track internal and external events using the firm's internal documentation system 
  • Promote and increase awareness of engagement resources to attorneys
  • Research ideas to be considered for future programming
  • Participate in the firm's experienced hiring and integration efforts for lateral hires and internal transfers 
  • Handle routine administrative responsibilities such as processing expense reports, check requests, filing, scanning and copying
  • Conduct analysis and reporting for DE&I department and committees

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years in HR, DE&I or law firm experience
  • Microsoft Office software proficiency, ability to learn technology quickly and desire to use and learn new software and operating systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal  
  • Strong sense of discretion and sound judgment
  • Team oriented and self directed
  • The ability to operate and multi-task in a fast-paced environment 
  • Schedule flexibility to adjust hours, as needed, to meet operating and business needs
