POSITION: Facilities Technician
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Base salary up to $68,000 plus paid overtime after 35 hours,Bonus eligible, Medical, Dental and Vision benefits, vacation and sick/personal days, paid holidays, transit program, 401K, and more!
LOCATION: Wall Street, New York NY
THE ORGANIZATION: Elite Law Firm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure firm’s office spaces, conference rooms, hallways are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
· Monitor contracts, leases, maintenance agreements, and warranties for terms, expirations and compliance provisions; Process appliances, equipment and furniture; coordinate deliveries and installations; prepare proposals for large purchases requiring approval
· Participate in build-out and construction projects, equipment and system upgrades, space planning, redesign and refurbishment projects
· Maintain office security system including monitoring of card readers, doors and cameras as well as coordinating repairs and maintenance with technicians
· Prepare vacated offices for occupancy and departures on an as-needed basis
· Coordinate with vendors for repairs and various firm wide needs
· Manage the storage of items in mechanical rooms and oversee the inventory of supplies
· Work with the Food Service Director to plan support for meetings and events
· Keep the department apprised of the status of work requests via email
· Assist with HVAC issues as needed
· Interact with attorneys and administrative staff to ensure customer satisfaction
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Associate Degree or Trade School Certificate
· 4+years facilities experience within a commercial office or law firm
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to develop procedures and policies, have sound judgment and problem solving capabilities
· Proven project management, customer service and interpersonal skills
· Work independently as well as lead others
· Ability to collaborate across a multi-department operations team
· Ability to work well under pressure and to maintain a professional demeanor
· General knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing
· Proficiency with carpentry tools as well as HVAC thermostats
