SUMMARY: Top-ranked international law firm is seeking a Director of Corporate Practice to be responsible for all aspects of Practice Management. This role will serve as a trusted advisor and chief-of-staff to all firm departments and practice groups.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the Corporate Practice Management team
- Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives
- Ensure alignment of business objectives and resources
- Develop Departmental and Practice Group business and budget plans
- Act as Department liaison to ensure business needs are met
- Support talent management initiatives to build and retain high-performing teams
- Support lateral partner recruitment efforts
- Design and implement professional development and training programs
- Draft communications and talking points for Global Chair
- Develop Corporate Department programs
- Organize and create agendas for Corporate Department
- Oversee Corporate paralegal team
- Work closely with leadership and Attorney Resources to support attorney engagement best practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master/MBA/JD preferred
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Previous law firm experience as a practicing attorney is highly desirable
- Must be innovative, analytical and have a collaborative approach to problem solving
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Distinguished leadership qualities and superb communication skills
- Strong ability to collaborate with senior executives and attorneys
- Sound judgment and discretion
