Business Development Analyst, Latin America 

ORGANIZATION: International Law Firm

LOCATION: New York, New York (Remote – Hybrid)

SUMMARY: The Business Development Analyst will be responsible for utilizing research, writing and methodological practices to assist with various marketing campaigns. The Business Development Analyst will report to the Business Development Manager and assist the Global Business Development team.


  • Prepare pitches for RFP responses through verifying facts and gathering information 
  • Provide detailed drafts and proposal content through collaboration with attorneys and staff
  • Maintain, organize and develop the firms practice materials 
  • Keep meticulous records of the outcomes of pitches and fee proposals
  • Responsible for conducting research on potential clients and established partnerships with respect to competitor activity and industry trends
  • Utilize research in the implementation of pitches, presentations, proposals and marketing plans
  • Facilitate cross-selling initiatives, identifying new business opportunities and assist with client-specific target teams
  • Develop target lists, profiles and company reports with internal and external metrics
  • Facilitate market intelligence and maintain understanding of external data sources
  • Determine and present new developments on various industries and geographic regions
  • Assist with directory submissions through practice group support
  • Maintain a strong presence in practice group meetings to insure proper meeting functions; notate minutes and create agendas
  • Foster consistent collaboration with the event planning process and assist with the execution of  internal and external events, seminars, webinars, and sponsorship projects
  • Assist with the content for the firm website and practice as a whole
  • Support initiatives focused on raising the firm profile via award submissions
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others
  • Communicate with senior leadership with reports and high value opportunities


  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant marketing/business development experience; law firm exposure is highly preferred
  • Native fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is required
  • Strong understanding of marketing and business development's role within a law firm
  • Ability to synthesize data, accurately capture it in a narrative, and pay close attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment, as well as independently and effectively within a team
  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Experience utilizing technology, including website, intranet, extranets, databases, knowledge management tools and presentation software
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs
