POSITION: Word Processing Operator 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Base salary up to $78,000 plus paid overtime, Bonus eligible, Medical, Dental and Vision benefits, vacation and sick/personal days, paid holidays, transit program, 401K, and more!

HOURS & DAYS:

  • Multiple Shifts available!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create graphic designs and provide support for the production of such projects

  • Direct and design concepts for various desktop publishing projects

  • Create and revise complex legal documents while adhering to Firm formatting guidelines

  • Revise, format, proofread and black-line documents

  • Format Table of Contents and Table of Authorities

  • Accurately scan documents either for conversion to Word or emailing in PDF format

  • Extensive typing (either from handwritten notes, Dictaphone tapes, digital dictation, or pre-typed drafts), formatting and revising legal documents

  • Assist in other areas when needed including covering the Front Desk on occasions where necessary

  • Attend various trainings to heighten proficiency in document production applications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of experience as a word processor or graphic design center experience in a legal or financial services organization

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (2010), Visio, InDesign, QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Photoshop, FrameMaker, and Outlook

  • Excellent work ethic and strong teamwork skills in a high volume, minimally staffed environment

  • Must be flexible, organized, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a calm, pleasant demeanor

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, make independent, well thought out decisions and troubleshoot documents

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, staff and clients

  • Accurately type 60 wpm or higher
