POSITION: Word Processing / Graphics Specialist (Remote-Hybrid)

THE ORGANIZATION: Top-ranked Law Firm

HOURS & DAYS: 5 days – Evening (Monday – Friday – 5:00 pm – 12:30 am)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide advanced word processing support for a busy elite law firm
  • Direct and design concepts for various desktop publishing projects
  • Create and revise complex legal documents while adhering to Firm formatting guidelines
  • Revise, format, proofread and black-line documents
  • Format Table of Contents and Table of Authorities
  • Accurately scan documents either for conversion to Word or emailing in PDF format
  • Extensive typing (either from handwritten notes, Dictaphone tapes, digital dictation, or pre-typed drafts), formatting and revising legal documents
  • Assist in other areas when needed including covering the Front Desk on occasions where necessary
  • Attend various trainings to heighten proficiency in document production applications
  • Perform Optical Character Recognition in Adobe Acrobat
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of experience as a word processor or graphic design center experience in a legal or financial services organization
  • Accurately type 80 wpm or higher
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, Adobe Acrobat, ChemBioDraw Ultra, Photoshop, Best Authority and Outlook
  • Excellent work ethic and strong teamwork skills in a high volume, minimally staffed environment
  • Must be flexible, organized, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a calm, pleasant demeanor
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, make independent, well thought out decisions and troubleshoot documents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, staff and clients
