Trusts and Estates/Tax Legal Secretary

Summary: Seeking a legal secretary to support a busy Trust and Estate/Tax Practice. Candidate must be willing to work independently in a fast-paced, corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as primary point of contact for clients in person and over the phone

Draft Estate planning documents, such as HCPs and POAs

Bind wills and prepare documents for execution

Keep meticulous records of all documents created and executed

Assist with Probate process as necessary

Support tax work by keeping client documents organized, copying, and communicating required info to clients

Communicate with clients about their documents and fulfill related requests

Provide administrative support to attorneys, including calendaring, drafting correspondence, and filing

Prepare engagement letters

Open and maintain client files
-
Entering attorney time entry and reviewing and editing client bills

Proofread client documents and other legal documents, as requested

Answer client questions related to the administrative side of the process
Qualifications:
-
4+ years of Trusts and Estates Legal Secretary experience required

Detail-oriented
-
High level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills

Ability to work closely with high net worth individuals

Extremely discreet while working with sensitive information and documents

Candidates with Notary Certification preferred
