Senior Talent & Compensation Specialist

LOCATION: New York, NY – Midtown Manhattan

SUMMARY: Top-ranked multinational law firm is seeking a Senior Talent & Compensation Specialist to work closely with the Director of Talent Management and support Professional Staff to automate and optimize HR processes while helping the organization progress in data-driven decision making.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze data for management and HR consumption
  • Design and run reports, integrating multiple data sources
  • Process raw data reports in Excel to generate client-ready materials
  • Analyze talent-related data to support the firm’s goals and strategies
  • Collaborate with HR and business partners in Workday implementation
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compensation processes
  • Recommend updates to compensation grids based on research and analysis
  • Support the end-to-end compensation processes
  • Design and implement new Performance Development strategy
  • Create self-service HR and client tools

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of compensation, analytics or business process experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, Advanced degree a plus!
  • Experience working with Python, People & Talent Analytics and Workday a plus
  • Experience building dashboards using Power BI and SQL
  • Advanced skills using Excel (Macros, Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Index Match)
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills, including an innate ability to communicate with stakeholders
  • Proven ability to organize and manage a diverse range of projects, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines (at times in high-pressure situations)
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Strong project management skills
  • Affinity for data and experience using data to effectively and proactively make decisions
