POSITION: Senior Project Manager – Client Engagement (remote to start)

LOCATION: San Francisco, CA | San Jose, CA

COMPENSATION: Base salary up to $150,000 plus performance-based bonus

OVERVIEW:  The Senior Project Manager will manage major client projects. Position includes oversight of vendors, budget, client engagement pipeline and strategic communication firm-wide.


  • Design and implement major project management objectives and processes for engaging with major clients; adjust and refine goals as needed
  • Engage with senior leadership, subject matter directors and major clients
  • Spearhead major client meetings with key firm stakeholders, including Partners, practice support, knowledge management and finance
  • Manage major client-firm relationship pipeline
  • Oversight of vendors, budget, major client relations and strategic firm-wide communication
  • Execute firm’s investment portfolio and compare to client satisfaction and to performance
  • Collaborate with firm partners to ensure staffing assignments are appropriate from a cost-effective standpoint
  • Create and analyze metrics that demonstrate value of services delivered to the client long-term
  • Identify potential improvements to firm processes and lead initiatives to implement improvements in order to increase client satisfaction and firm profitability
  • Track milestones for client projects, as well as key deadlines, to ensure that ensure that they are met, making sure to keep clients aware of them along the way
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure client satisfaction by conveying and clarifying client wishes with regards to budget creation and budget scope changes later on
  • Ensure strict adherence to client requirements and guidelines for outside counsel


  • 10+ years of experience in project management
  • Legal experience required, budget emphasis preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required; BA in finance/business preferred
  • JD or MBA preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required; Office Suite experience required
  • Excellent communications skills – both verbal and written 
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team that includes senior management
  • Ability to explain budgeting in layman's terms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, self-motivated and able to work independently
