KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage attorney recruiting initiatives, including lateral associate recruitment, entry-level hiring, and strategic talent acquisition programs across multiple practice areas.
- Partner with firm leadership, practice group leaders, hiring partners, and professional staff to develop and execute effective legal recruiting strategies.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including candidate sourcing, relationship development, resume review, interview coordination, candidate evaluation, offer management, and onboarding support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external legal recruiting firms, law school career offices, student organizations, and professional networks to identify and attract high-quality legal talent.
- Oversee law student and entry-level recruiting efforts, including outreach strategies, campus engagement initiatives, interview programs, and offer processes.
- Plan and execute summer associate recruiting programs, including orientation, training initiatives, professional development activities, work assignments, evaluations, and program enhancements.
- Analyze recruiting data, market trends, diversity metrics, hiring activity, and workforce analytics to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement recruiting policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance hiring efficiency and candidate experience.
- Partner with firm leadership to support strategic talent initiatives, workforce planning, and long-term recruiting goals.
- Manage recruiting budgets, expenses, vendor relationships, and approval processes to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Oversee attorney participation in recruiting activities, including investment tracking, interviewer preparation, and engagement initiatives.
- Develop and deliver interviewer training, recruiting orientations, and educational programs for attorneys and professional staff.
- Supervise, mentor, train, and evaluate legal recruiting team members while promoting professional growth and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with marketing, diversity, professional development, and human resources teams on recruiting materials, employer branding initiatives, and firm-wide talent programs.
- Manage recruiting communications, newsletters, reports, presentations, and internal resources supporting attorney hiring initiatives.
- Evaluate recruiting technology, applicant tracking systems, HR platforms, and emerging tools to improve workflows and reporting capabilities.
- Maintain knowledge of legal employment practices, recruiting trends, diversity initiatives, and evolving talent acquisition strategies.
- Manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines while delivering high-quality recruiting support in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or related professional training preferred.
- Minimum of five years of legal recruiting experience within a large law firm, professional services organization, or similar environment.
- Prior experience managing attorney recruiting programs, including lateral hiring and law student recruitment.
- Demonstrated experience supervising and developing recruiting professionals or administrative team members.
- Strong knowledge of legal talent acquisition practices, attorney hiring processes, and legal employment considerations.
- Experience building relationships with attorneys, law school representatives, recruiting professionals, and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop reports, interpret recruiting data, evaluate market trends, and support strategic decision-making.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems, HR technology platforms, recruiting databases, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and technology-driven recruiting solutions preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, executives, candidates, and professional staff at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, complex projects, and confidential information.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
