POSITION: Senior Financial Analyst (Remote-Hybrid!)

LOCATION: Chicago, IL

SUMMARY: Seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Senior Financial Analyst looking to develop a long-term career within the Accounting & Finance department of a well-established law firm. This role will support all aspects of financial reporting and analysis with an emphasis on pricing models, matter budgeting and tracking, and has high visibility within the firm, with frequent collaboration amongst partners and senior leadership.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for preparation and maintenance of expense allocations to ensure alignment with profitability model 
  • Conducts financial modeling, forecasts, variance analysis and data analysis and interpretation of impact on business
  • Participates in preparing, organizing and distributing Firm Revenue and other crucial strategic planning models to department leads and stakeholders 
  • Present financial data for internal and external stakeholder reporting
  • Partner with external departments and executive management team and administrative departments on ad hoc projects, query, business intelligence and data management
  • Assist in preparation of and roll out of department expense budgeting tool and presents capital budget reports 
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting/financial reporting/analysis experience 
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of budgeting, accounting and systems
  • Familiarity with financial or reporting database structure
  • Prior experience with multinational/multi-currency reporting including intercompany schedules, and/or CPA certification a plus
  • Advanced MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Experience using OneStream XF and EPM enabling technologies preferred
  • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
