Senior Business Development Coordinator

Location: New York City, NY | Santa Monica, CA | San Francisco, CA | Washington, D.C.| Seattle, WA

Summary: Seeking an upbeat, proactive and dedicated Senior Business Development Coordinator to support a variety of key teams within a top firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the firm’s business development efforts and will report to the Business Development Manager. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Business Development Manager, Director and CMO in supporting partners’ business development goals
  • Responsible for the maintenance of multiple sales metrics aimed at improving efficiency
  • Provide detailed research, marketing and sales materials to prospective clients 
  • Assist with proposal opportunities at the request of the Business Development Manager
  • Maintain record of post mortems on lost pitches to assist in future endeavors 
  • Supervise data entry of pre and post pitch activities to CRM database
  • Continuously update and refine marketing client lists, pitch templates and management database
  • Responsible for the firm website maintenance; practice group updates and representative matters 
  • Contribute on multiple research projects, recruiting efforts, lateral promotions, and event related content

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience within a marketing or business development capacity; legal or professional services background is preferred 
  • Experience using a CRM system; preferably InterAction
  • Data collection and reporting skills; LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters and Westlaw
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel
  • Attention to detail, proofreading and Internet research skills
  • Experience preparing proposal (RFP) responses and pitch materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of staying on target under pressure and maintaining accuracy 
  • Experience supporting a corporate practice group is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior marketing colleagues and business development teammates
