LOCATION: New York, New York

OVERVIEW: Seeking a highly motivated and organized Retirement Benefits Manager to provide direct support to the Chief Benefits Officer. This role will use analytical, organizational and communication skills to manage the day-to-day operations and administration of the qualified retirement plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stay up to date on emerging federal, state and local leave laws
  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of the administration of the Firm’s retirement plans
  • Manage and maintain all participant records
  • Create and maintain all qualified retirement plans administrative procedures and training materials
  • Adhere to all plan documents and applicable IRS regulations
  • Complete the annual retirement plan regulatory activities
  • Participate and complete the annual audits of the retirement plans
  • Work with other Benefits Department staff members to develop plans specific communications
  • Recommend and implement changes and improvements 
  • Participate in the interviewing and selection process of employees
  • Arrange accommodation process in accordance with ADA guidelines and maintain files and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with employees and answer questions regarding benefits, eligibility, changes, accommodations, special circumstances, problem resolution, and compliance issues
  • Ensure compliance with IRS regulations
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships
  • Manage staff members to ensure accurate and timely completion of day-to-day responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years of defined contribution and defined benefit plans experience
  • 2+ years of progressive team leadership or supervisory experience
  • 1+ years of Workday benefit and/or payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS applications
  • Strong computer skills; high proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel
  • Able to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously, with a strong ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates good judgment in communication verbally and in writing
  • Able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, firm management, and attorneys
  • Able to maintain the utmost confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Works well under pressure and in a collaborative environment
