Recruiting and Diversity Coordinator 

 

Location: New York, NY (Remote to start) 

 

The Organization: Elite Law Firm

 

Summary: The Recruiting and DEI Coordinator supports the Recruiting and DEI Manager with firmwide execution of front-facing and external-facing diversity and recruiting initiatives (including but not limited to events, presentations, sponsorship opportunities, communications, etc); Plentiful opportunity for taking lead and playing a critical role in supporting the growth of the firm.  

 

Salary & Benefits: Base salary to $85,000, plus generous paid overtime, Bonus, Medical, Dental and Vision benefits, competitive vacation and sick/personal days package, paid holidays, 401K, transit program and more!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the Firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion programs, supporting the Firm’s DEI Committee

  • Assist with managing internal DEI efforts via internal communications, programming and events

  • Prepare D&I surveys, award submissions, reports and other data for firmwide communications, meetings, and other initiatives

  • Keep up to date with trends within DEI; support with reporting on D&I metrics, measuring progress, strategy and effectiveness

  • Support with engagement and maintaining of relationships with law schools and law student groups throughout the year

  • Coordinate with team summer associate and recruiting events,

  • Assist on-campus interviewing (OCI); scheduling students and attorneys and carrying through the process

  • Gather and organize interview feedback and update into the ATS

  • Assist with firm-wide initiatives including health & wellness and diversity, equity & inclusion

  • Perform other assignments as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 2+ years of related DEI or recruiting experience; preferably in a law firm or professional services company

  • Knowledge of recruiting and diversity best practices

  • Microsoft Office proficiency; familiarity with applicant tracking systems

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgement, highly organized, and strong attention to detail are required

  • Must be able to multi-task, maintain confidentiality, and act as a team player
