Public Relations Specialist (Senior-Level)

LOCATION: New York, NY – Midtown Manhattan

THE FIRM: Multinational law firm in every major global capital and business center

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use various media and tools to coordinate firm brand marketing

  • Monitor and compile firm news clips

  • Manage PR activities: respond to interview requests, prepare and facilitate partner interviews, draft firm press releases and provide guidance to firm staff globally

  • Draft and oversee internal and external news announcements and media pitches that increase firm visibility necessitating an understanding for key industries, legal themes, issues and solutions

  • Collaborate with practice leaders and business development department to advance marketing efforts

  • Draft, edit and finalize directory and award submissions

  • Manage logistics for press releases and interviews

  • Prep partners for interviews by providing important topics and relevant information related to the outlet

  • Create media lists and general outreach in relation to the firm’s public relations and marketing initiatives

  • Supervise global marketing efforts by establishing relationships across the firm

  • Manage and administer the firm’s awards and survey submission program

  • Manage the creation and distribution of a variety of marketing-related materials and content for the firm website and intranet

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of experience managing directories, awards, and survey submissions within a law firm or large financial institution

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet time-sensitive deadlines

  • Excellent writing and editorial skills

  • Close attention to detail and ability to maintain sight of long-term strategic goals

  • Ability to think creatively and pragmatically

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work while working independently or as part of a team

  • Flexibility to adjust hours to meet operating and business needs
