Leading International Law Firm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage patent prosecution portfolios while ensuring timely and accurate handling of client matters.
  • Prepare, review, and electronically file U.S. patent prosecution documents with applicable government agencies.
  • Coordinate patent filings, including office action responses, continuations, divisionals, Information Disclosure Statements (IDSs), petitions, appeals, assignments, and related documents.
  • Format patent applications and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable filing requirements.
  • Monitor patent prosecution deadlines, maintain accurate docket calendars, and coordinate with internal docketing personnel.
  • Prepare, proofread, and distribute professional correspondence and legal documentation.
  • Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure document accuracy and integrity.
  • Generate client reports and portfolio updates as requested.
  • Serve as a resource for client-specific filing procedures and electronic submission requirements.
  • Stay current on U.S. patent rules, regulations, and procedural changes.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, patent professionals, and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of assignments.
  • Provide cross-coverage for team members and support additional projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience supporting U.S. patent prosecution.
  • Previous experience within a law firm or intellectual property practice strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. patent prosecution procedures and regulations.
  • Experience preparing complex Information Disclosure Statements (IDSs).
  • Proficiency with patent filing systems, electronic filing platforms, and intellectual property docketing software.
  • Ability to independently calculate, verify, and manage critical filing deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, proofreading, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as business needs require.
