Mutual Fund Accountant
LOCATION: New York, NY
ORGANIZATION: Reputable Asset Management Firm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with daily reconciliation to the firm’s accounting system
- Reconcile records and cash positions
- Reconcile sub advised account records
- Prepare expense invoices
- Provide assistance in the review of financial statements and quarterly reports
- Review marketing materials
- Provide support to the monthly reconciliation of internal records
- Act as an intermediary between the firm and Portfolio Managers
- Analyze trends and investigate discrepancies
- Complete month-end financial close, monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities and financial statement analysis
- Prepare account reconciliation; process and analyze account transactions including accrued expenses, journal entries and maintain up to date files
- Research, analyze and resolve inquiries pertaining to financial transactions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of mutual fund accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Able to prioritize competing demands under tight deadlines
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to maintain confidentiality
