WORK ARRANGEMENT: Hybrid

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide comprehensive legal and business research support to attorneys, professional staff, and internal stakeholders across multiple practice areas.
  • Conduct advanced legal, corporate, financial, regulatory, and industry research using a broad range of online databases, public records, proprietary resources, and traditional research materials.
  • Perform securities and corporate research, including analysis of filings, agreements, transactions, market activity, company information, and business relationships.
  • Support litigation teams through factual research, case law analysis, court record retrieval, docket research, and investigation of complex legal issues.
  • Research legislative, regulatory, financial, statistical, and competitive intelligence topics to support client matters and strategic business initiatives.
  • Prepare research summaries, reference materials, data reports, and analytical resources for attorneys, presentations, internal publications, and client-facing materials.
  • Monitor news sources, regulatory developments, legal updates, filings, and other information resources through customized alerts and tracking tools.
  • Coordinate research requests with external vendors and service providers while maintaining quality standards, confidentiality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Assist with attorney, associate, and professional staff training programs related to research resources, information tools, and knowledge management practices.
  • Evaluate new research platforms, technology solutions, AI-enabled tools, and emerging information resources to improve research efficiency and service delivery.
  • Maintain awareness of developments in legal technology, research methodologies, industry trends, and information management practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance research services, improve workflows, and support firm-wide knowledge initiatives.
  • Manage multiple concurrent research assignments while delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality results.
  • Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field required; Juris Doctor degree or equivalent legal education preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of professional research experience within a large law firm, financial institution, professional services organization, or similar environment.
  • Strong experience conducting legal, corporate, securities, litigation, regulatory, and business intelligence research.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with legal, financial, corporate, and public records research platforms.
  • Experience using advanced research technologies, online databases, and emerging information tools.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide high-quality service to attorneys, clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with technology-driven research solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
