Legal Professional Development Assistant

Location: Washington, D.C. (Remote – Hybrid)

Summary: Top-ranked multinational law firm is seeking an Professional Development Assistant to serve as an integral member of the Attorney Development department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for calendar organization, telephone/email correspondence, timely deliverance of various documents/reports and assists with overall department logistics for meetings
  • Submit and keep track of invoices, check requests, expense reports and other supporting documentation for financial reporting
  • Assist with the scheduling of events and the logistical aspects 
  • Plan, coordinate and execute attorney trainings and events
  • Oversee the RSVP list, invitation send out, sign-in sheets and badge creation for attorney related events as needed
  • Track all logistics of events and collect feedback after events; update training materials on internal firm website
  • Work with the team to improve information disbursement across the firm 
  • Organize curriculum materials and ensure availability and disbursement to key stakeholders
  • Administer surveys and evaluation for training programs
  • Deploy attorney training and development programs as assigned
  • Partner with members of Professional Development and Leadership Team where necessary to manage the continuous improvement of Attorney Training and Development Programs
  • Assist with CLE applications and up keep on applications and documentation
  • Play an important role in the engagement, integration, and retention efforts for attorneys
  • Assist with the process of moving offices
  • Research, plan and attend attorney social functions
  • Prepare and distribute bar status reports
  • Serve as training program and event support for all sessions as needed
  • Coordinate programs and trainings for multiple practice areas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 1+ years of related experience within an administrative or secretarial capacity
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required
