POSITION: Labor Compliance Associate (Mid-Level)

LOCATION: New York, New York

ORGANIZATION: Renowned New York Law Firm

SUMMARY: The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of traditional labor law and compliance experience 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Experience litigating or assisting the primary litigator at the National Labor Relations Board, including handling unfair labor practice charges from the inception through resolution 
  • Negotiating collective bargaining agreements and conducting labor arbitrations involving collective bargaining agreement violation issues, including employee discharges and suspensions
  • Advising clients on numerous compliance matters, including employee discipline and discharge, employee benefits and related handbook and policy drafting, wage and hour laws, employee leave and reasonable accommodation issues (including the Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act compliance)

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Knowledge of all aspects of traditional labor law, including the National Labor Relations Act
  • Management-side defense experience is preferred but not required
