POSITION: Knowledge Management Product Manager – Remote to start

ORGANIZATION: International Law Firm

LOCATION: New York, NY

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 9:00AM – 6:00PM

SUMMARY: The KM Product Manager will design, create, and manage a portfolio of Knowledge Management tools and advise firm leadership. The ideal candidate will provide expertise on knowledge management initiatives from a legal and technical perspective.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead and develop KM and knowledge sharing initiatives, including identifying and implementing new legal technologies (responsible for full life cycle of KM products)

  • Atomize content to increase efficiency

  • Work with attorneys and staff at all levels, including senior leadership, partners, associates, and practice groups to coordinate and improve work-product

  • Gather stakeholder needs from senior-level attorneys as they relate to business work-product and client satisfaction

  • Lead compelling KM systems demonstrations for attorneys and staff at all levels

  • Manage KM team by providing mentorship and learning opportunities for junior staff

  • Participate in KM meetings, with a focus on process improvement

  • Manage global products that can be implemented firm-wide while also complying with local regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with software company team to implement changes and champion new products

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; JD preferred

  • 10+ years experience of KM and Project Management; 2+ years of law firm experience required

  • Litigation experience preferred; will consider applicants with transactional law experience

  • Specialized knowledge of SharePoint, Html, Agile lifecycle; experience with JIRA and Confluence; expert in MS Office Suite

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills for an ever-changing fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities at once

  • Familiarity with attorney work product
