KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT ATTORNEY – LITIGATION ASSOCIATE

LOCATION: New York, New York | San Francisco, CA

SUMMARY: Seeking a Knowledge Management Attorney with a Litigation background to manage development, implementation and process improvement for litigation practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with firm leadership to leverage new technology, tools and expertise to enhance the litigation practice firm-wide.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Communicate effectively with practicing attorneys to streamline practice through standardizing forms, research, data, memos, checklists and products to enhance overall practice 
  • Collaborate with vendors and in-house technology experts to implement legal technology solutions for increased accessibility and efficiency 
  • Oversee trainings and workshops for litigation associates and paralegals for new tools and information resources available to practice
  • Design best practices for utilizing KM tools
  • Collaborate with firm stakeholders to identify, retrieve and effectively store key research and reference materials from multiple sources and database
  • Establish and maintain rapport with practice group leaders, associates and partners
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders including partners, practice group leaders, attorney development personnel and marketing team

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) required, computer science background preferred
  • 3+ years of AMLAW litigation practice experience 
  • Ability to communicate technical and legal information effectively to various practice groups, internal stakeholders and vendors 
  • Strong understanding of KM processes, techniques, relevant technologies and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational and project management skills
