POSITION: Knowledge Management Analyst

ORGANIZATION: Reputable Law Firm

LOCATION: New York, New York

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 9:30 – 5:30

SUMMARY: The KM Analyst will be responsible for assisting the IT team with maximizing the use of its systems software and databases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide assistance to staff with KM inquiries, across a range of issues
  • Address concerns with KM systems and data management as they arise, bringing complex issues and firm feedback to senior managers, as necessary
  • Provide training to attorneys, paralegals, and legal secretaries in the use of KM software
  • Liaise with IT Department to coordinate technical resources for projects
  • Streamline data by removing duplications, tracking changes in status to reflect matter closeout, and by providing information to the IT regarding specific circumstances and how to navigate those issues within the KM system
  • Act as a primary point of contact to members of staff and attorneys
  • Ensure project management skills to manage a variety of projects with tight deadlines
  • Creating summary reports and sharing with relevant parties
  • Run queries
  • Acquire an advanced knowledge and understanding of the firm's software, in order to support firm staff and attorneys with level 2 support
  • Work with third-party IT support when complex matters arise that require higher-level support
  • Handle special ad-hoc projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-6 years of experience in IT, KM, or a related field; iManage experience required
  • BS/BA degree required
  • Possess detailed planning and organizational skills
  • Proficient in a wide range of technologies
  • Experience with data management applications (e.g. iManage, HighQ Collaborate, Decisiv Search, SQL, VBA, Prosperoware Milan, and PowerShell) and database administration
  • Strong verbal, written communication, organizational and technical skills
  • Customer service skills to work with attorneys and staff at all levels.
  • Experience with data analysis systems preferred (e.g. Tableau or SSRS)
