Internal Sales Investment Specialist

LOCATION: New York, NY

SUMMARY: Seeking an Investment Specialist with strong relationship building skills, product and capital market knowledge and sales experience. This role will be responsible for driving mutual fund sales and relationship management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain and deepen relationships with new and existing RIAs
  • Develop a business plan, manage a territory and drive regional and corporate goals
  • Make proactive telephone calls within specified territory
  • Act as an advocate for the firm’s business
  • Call assigned territory and schedule meetings for the Regional Director’s sales travel appointments
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the product portfolio features and benefits
  • Conduct one-on-one Advisor meetings
  • Deliver group presentations
  • Attend work conferences when necessary
  • Maintain updated knowledge of the firm’s investment products and industry
  • Use software to research business, log activities, and interpret hypothetical scenarios
  • Assemble and mail marketing materials and sales presentations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years experience in the financial services industry 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Series 7 required
  • Experience as an Internal Sales Associate 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills
  • Able to build and maintain relationships 
  • Demonstrate successful experience in financial product/mutual fund sales
  • Proven ability to organize and manage a diverse range of projects, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines (at times in high-pressure situations)
