Information Security Analyst (Top Law Firm)

LOCATION: Washington, DC

OVERVIEW: Top-ranked law firm is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join their busy Washington, DC office. This role will detect, analyze and limit security risks to the firm. This is a great opportunity for individuals with an interest in Cybersecurity or Computer Science.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize knowledge of SiEM solutions 
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security systems, procedures and security diagrams
  • Analyze, propose and implement solutions related to residual risk
  • Install security measures
  • Operate software to protect systems and information
  • Ensure systems have been properly configured and tested
  • Assist with security awareness initiatives and trainings
  • Work closely with IT to secure hardware, peripherals and other equipment
  • Research and evaluate security enhancements
  • Risk assess firm practices and processes in accordance with cybersecurity needs
  • Create audit reports and use analysis to remedy gaps in security
  • Assess control environment of applications and practices under review
  • Facilitate compliance with global regulations related to privacy and information security
  • Train employees on best practices for cybersecurity year-round
  • Provide immediate response during potential breaches of security and other security incidents

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Cyber Security required
  • 3+ years of related IT experience with at least 1 year of information security (IT security, Cyber Security or Risk Assurance) experience
  • Strong working knowledge of application and infrastructure security solutions such as, Firewalls, Network Security, Password Management, Data Encryption, Prevention Systems and Access Control
  • Prior experience with incident detection and incident response is preferred
  • ITIL framework and processes exposure preferred
  • Familiar with Azure, O36, NetDocuments, Linux operating system, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure proper documentation
  • Self-starter and interest in spearheading best practices within IT security for global company
