Human Resources Manager

LOCATION: Miami, Florida (Hybrid – Remote)

OVERVIEW: Seeking a highly motivated and organized Human Resources Manager to advise, consult and lead in planning, developing and making recommendations in the areas of organizational development, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training and development, performance management, benefit programs, leave of absence administration, employee engagement and compensation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and oversee employee relations coaching and counseling discussions
  • Recommend appropriate employee course of action and disciplinary discussions; participate in internal investigations
  • Implement changes and improvements to HR procedures and best practices
  • Maintain current knowledge of labor market trends
  • Supervise and administer firm’s course curriculum and projects, such as enhancing learning and development programs
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions, internships and contract positions
  • Ensure all efforts are in compliance with local and Federal state laws
  • Participate in the employee departure process
  • Assess organizational data by utilizing HR systems and reporting tools
  • Assist with annual audits of job descriptions, internal processes and documentation
  • Collaborate with the Leave Administration Supervisor to maintain updated knowledge of leave laws
  • Provide support and guidance with management of the Practice Assistants; supervise workflow, assist with performance reviews, onboard, train and coordinate
  • Maintain employee profile information and attendance records
  • Propose changes to existing policy and procedures
  • Plan and assist with Firm’s special events and functions
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends related to HR and employment practices
  • Monitor attendance, OT, and expense reports
  • Oversee employee performance and provide guidance to employees to manage unsatisfactory performance

  REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • PHR certification and Spanish fluency is preferred
  • 10+ years of HR experience; 5+ years of management experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of HRIS system required; PeopleSoft v9.2 preferred
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Strong understanding of local and Federal employment laws
  • Able to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously, with a strong ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, firm management, and attorneys
  • Strong data analytic skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Able to use discretion and exercise sound judgment
  • Able to maintain the utmost confidentiality
  • Able to work extended hours to complete projects, as needed
