Human Resources Manager – Remote to start, then Hybrid

THE ORGANIZATION: International Law Firm

SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing the strategic administration and daily operations of the Human Resources functions including professional staff performance management, employee relations, management coaching, training and development, among other responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, shape and strengthen organizational culture and employee engagement through innovative Human Resources programs 
  • Partner with Chief Human Resources Officer, Office Administrative Director and other department heads to implement and standardize Firm policies and procedures
  • Manage daily Human Resources activities
  • Manage job description development and annual job description audit
  • Review and approve time entries and expense reports
  • Provide well thought out recommendations to stakeholders regarding policies and process changes 
  • Plan, establish budget, and launch employee functions
  • Oversee yearly performance reviews and partner with management team regarding compensation and bonus review
  • Provides up-to-date understanding of labor market developments and makes salary suggestions for new employees, transfers, and promotions. Provide intelligence regarding internal and external pay analysis
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify strong candidates and create accurate job descriptions. Coordinate interviewing and qualification process
  • Manage the hiring and onboarding programs, including internship programs and hiring of assistants for the firm
  • Manage the exit interview process for employees, as well as maintaining and sharing the results of exit interviews. Analyze exit data and findings
  • Use HR systems and reports to analyze data and provide insight into employee satisfaction, recruitment, retention, and development
  • Oversee staff recruitment activities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors is required
  • 10+ years of relevant HR management experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Workday
  • Prior experience leading/supervising others
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
  • Able to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously, with a strong ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, firm management, and attorneys
  • Strong project management skills
  • Able to use discretion and exercise sound judgment
  • Able to maintain the utmost confidentiality
  • Flexible to travel
