HR Administrative Assistant – Benefits

The Organization: Top U.S. Based Multinational Law Firm

Summary: Top-ranked multinational law firm is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the needs of the Firmwide Human Resources Benefits team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support, such as answering/screening calls, organizing documents/rooms, sorting mail, reserving conference rooms and other logistical items, and direct employee questions to the proper HR team member. 

  • Partner with team in the on-boarding of legal and other staff and assist with other duties including developing orientation packages, annual open enrollments, planning events, etc.

  • Provide data entry assistance into insurance provider web portals and internal HRIS system for new hire benefit plan enrollments, employee terminations, changes, and designating beneficiaries.    

  • Put together and distribute COBRA packages to employees being terminated; keep track of the enrolled participants and maintain logs of payments and activities.

  • Prepare and distribute required disclosures to new hires as applicable by law and maintain corresponding log. 

  • Assist the HR Manager with Corporate Wellness events and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 2+ years of fast-paced administrative assistant experience in legal or finance

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgement, highly organized, and strong attention to detail are required

  • Must be able to multi-task, maintain confidentiality, and act as a team player
