HRIS Specialist – PeopleSoft

ORGANIZATION: Elite Law Firm

LOCATION: Chicago, IL

SUMMARY: The HRIS Specialist is responsible for the ongoing administration and functional support of the Human Resources Information Management Systems platform and maintains employee data. Proposes HRIS features and solutions to ensure the software products fulfill these needs. Prepares and provides information on employee demographics and trends. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of Human Resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the functional aspects of the comprehensive payroll and HRIS platform for partners and employees
  • Maintain employee data and troubleshoots programming and functionality issues on all HR platforms
  • Provide technical solutions to regulatory and business requirements, includes testing and liaising with internal and external support for all HR platforms
  • Collaborate with other departments to support day-to-day end-user help requests
  • Responsible for assisting in all partner and employee data entries and changes to the Firm’s various systems
  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensures that all information is accurately captured in our systems
  • Prepare and provides information on employee demographics including, but not limited to, monthly headcount reports
  • Oversee all annual notices, maintains Confidentiality Affirmations for partners and employees as well as temporary employees/consultants
  • Conduct regular audits of data input to ensure accuracy across systems
  • Handle numerous administrative duties for the department
  • Provide general backup to the Human Resources and Benefits teams

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of HRIS systems experience, preferably PeopleSoft
  • Work experience in a legal or professional services environment
  • Knowledge of principles, practices and standards of human resources administration
  • Knowledge of human resources information systems
  • Knowledge of database maintenance basic concepts
  • Detail oriented and skilled in performing accurate data entry
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks efficiently and effectively and complete them under time constraints
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to proofread typed material for grammatical, typographical and spelling errors
  • Ability to diplomatically and tactfully deal with sensitive personnel issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with courtesy and tact
