HR Analytics – Health & Welfare (Benefits)

Location: New York, NY (Remote – Hybrid)

Summary: Top-ranked AM multinational law firm is seeking a Health & Welfare Benefits Analyst to provide global support to the HR department. The Health & Welfare Benefits Analyst will report to the Health & Welfare Benefits Manager. This role will serve as the financial and data analyst support on U.S. benefit plans and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide global human capital data analytics support to the Benefits Department
  • Support the planning and development of U.S. benefit plans
  • Assist in managing the financial costs and associated risks for U.S. benefit plans
  • Work with Benefits brokers, consultants and vendors
  • Plan, design and deliver analytical projects that answer key HR-related questions
  • Perform data extraction, report generation and data visualization in dashboards
  • Generate and analyze data and metrics across the Firm to support data-driven decisions
  • Communicate data findings and action items, both verbally and in writing accurately and concisely
  • Implement new programs as related to health & welfare benefits
  • Assist in the annual renewal processes for all U.S. health & welfare benefit plans and programs
  • Assist with technology and database projects and assignments
  • Act as subject matter expert for reporting, training, and troubleshooting
  • Support the firm's performance evaluation and recruiting process
  • Maintain documentation of the firm's human capital systems procedures
  • Analyze existing data management processes and propose improvements as needed
  • Understand and participate in the financial aspects of the benefit programs
  • Prepare monthly claims tracking reports
  • Coordinate timely review of data, communications and weekly calls with carriers and brokers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Business, Health Care Administration, or related field required
  • 4+ years’ experience in health/welfare benefits and financial analysis
  • 1+ years of Workday benefit and/or payroll experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas); high proficiency in MS Word
  • Strong skills in data mining, manipulation and analysis
  • Knowledge of U.S. laws and regulations impacting employee benefits
  • Ability to interface, develop and maintain professional relationships with all levels of management
  • Ability to positively tackle problems, provide solutions and engage with others to ensure proactive steps are taken
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under time constraints
