Summary: We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and fiduciaries on sophisticated wealth transfer, investment, and tax planning matters. This role is ideal for a strategic legal advisor who understands how estate planning integrates with investment strategy, tax efficiency, and long-term wealth preservation. The attorney will work closely with clients, financial advisors, investment professionals, and tax specialists to design and implement customized planning solutions.
Key responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and advanced wealth transfer structures

Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies involving income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) taxes

Structure and review investment-holding entities, including family limited partnerships, LLCs, and trust-owned investment vehicles

Collaborate with investment advisors and portfolio managers to align estate plans with investment objectives and asset allocation strategies

Counsel clients on liquidity planning, concentrated positions, and intergenerational wealth transfer considerations

Assist with charitable planning strategies, including donor-advised funds, private foundations, and split-interest trusts

Provide guidance on fiduciary administration, trust governance, and compliance matters

Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting estate, tax, and investment planning, and proactively advise clients on potential impacts

Participate in client relationship management, business development initiatives, and thought leadership efforts
Required skills:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

5+ years of experience in estate planning, private wealth, or trusts and estates practice

Substantial experience with tax planning related to estates, trusts, and investments

Strong understanding of investment structures, asset management vehicles, and alternative investments

Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, or institutional wealth platforms

Ability to translate complex tax and legal concepts into practical, client-friendly guidance

Exceptional written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills

High level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion

Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-disciplinary teams

Advanced tax training is a plus (LL.M. in Taxation or equivalent experience)

Exposure to private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or real estate investments
