G&A Staff Professional Development Manager (Global Law Firm) – Remote/Hybrid

Location: New York, NY | San Francisco, CA | Palo Alto, CA | Washington, DC | Seattle, WA

The Organization: Large U.S. Based Multinational Law Firm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Professional Development Director and the HR Business Partner to implement annual staff review process for the firm’s office, including obtaining feedback, analyzing reviews and determining plans of action  

  • Facilitate developing and implementing professional development initiatives for the Firm’s staff and leadership professionals

  • Collaborate with key firm leadership to identify staff development timelines for specific personnel

  • Create monthly reports to determine staff workflow capacities, as well as flag potential staffing issues or opportunities 

  • Spearhead quarterly staff development meetings with senior managers and directors

  • Develop consensus around takeaways and follow up on issues raised

  • Collaborate with staff and attorneys at all levels to develop targeted practice group mentoring, training and development

  • Organize and facilitate mentorship program debriefings each quarter to evaluate, design and implement any potential changes to development plans

  • Develop relationships with staff, associates and partners in order to serve as a resource for questions regarding individualized professional development

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related professional development and curriculum/training required

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; advanced degree preferred

  • Knowledge of practices and trends within the professional services training and development industry

  • Microsoft Office familiarity, including Excel and Word; with the ability to learn new software quickly

  • CLE compliance experience preferred

  • Great attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing

  • Able to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
