POSITION: Diversity and Inclusion Manager, Women’s Initiative

THE ORGANIZATION: International Law Firm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Diversity and Inclusion manager will serve as a senior member of D&I Team, focusing on the Women’s Initiative

Serve as an in-house expert on diversity best practices, advising D&I leadership, firm managers, and internal groups on best practices, as well as adapting them within firm culture

Cultivate and implement initiatives focused on the recruitment, development, and retention of women lawyers consistent with the Firm’s overall goals and strategy

Monitor market trends to make policy and program recommendations to the firm

Create reports and present findings in support of the firm’s gender equity and parity goals

Attend, host and support networking events as part of recruitment efforts

Develop programs to support underrepresented lawyers (e.g. women of color, LGBTQ+ women, first-generation)

Identify external programs that would be of interest for female attorneys

Attend and represent the firm at internal and external conferences, trainings, and client events held outside of regular work day

Manage communications, including publishing copy to the website, drafting and sending newsletters and sending out recruiting materials

Support and collaborate with the Women’s Committee and Women’s Advisory Council, as necessary

Work closely with teams to facilitate FMLA returns

Maintain current statistics pertaining to diversity to respond to surveys and RFPs

Partner with outside organizations to enhance firm’s Women’s Initiative
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of law firm experience, preferably in HR or recruitment
- Bachelor's Degree required, JD or MA preferred

Experience/familiarity with gender equity practices in law

Prior experience in professional development, marketing, legal recruiting or related area highly desirable

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to prioritize, collaborate, and manage multiple projects

Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information

Team oriented and desire to work as part of a mission-driven team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, including PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
