Director of Pricing

Location: Washington, DC

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies and models
  • Collaborate with partners, practice group leaders, and BD teams to understand client needs; develop customized pricing solutions
  • Analyze historical pricing data, market trends and competitor pricing and inform pricing decisions and recommendations
  • Assess the financial impact of various pricing scenarios
  • Develop recommendations for pricing adjustments
  • Support partners with pricing proposals, reporting and analysis
  • Participate in client negotiations
  • Support partners in presenting pricing proposals to clients
  • Develop and maintain pricing-related tools, systems and processes
  • Provide training and guidance to partners and staff on pricing-related topics
  • Collaborate with finance, billing and other teams
  • Prepare and present pricing-related reports and analyses to firm leadership and stakeholders


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance and/or Accounting required; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis or related role, in a large law firm or professional services environment
  • 5+ years of supervisory or employee management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Elite/3E or other law firm accounting software highly preferred
  • Exposure to domestic and international accounting and financial analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with executives on plan and execution of strategic goals
  • Distinguished leadership qualities and superb communication skills
